Mosquito

Mosquitoes: are a family of small insect, midge-like flies. Female mosquitoes is the harmless insect to people by blood sucking of people and then catching dengue-fever, yellow fever, filariasis and Malaria to blood. But Male don't depend on humans being blood for survival, they suck nectar, plant juices, and animal blood.Mosquitoes are night blindness but it can find people to bite by smell of people breath.

Life cycle of it goes through four stages: egg, larva, pupa, and then adult or imago. Some females lay their eggs in stagnant water, somes near water's edge, and others attach their eggs to aquatic plants. The first three stages-egg, larva, and pupa are largely aquatic. These stages typically last 5-14 day, depending on the species and ambient temperature.

One female mosquito may lay 100 to 300 eggs at a time and may average 1,000 to 3,000 eggs for whole life. The period of last developement from egg to adult varies among species and strongly influenced by ambient temperature. Some species spend as little as 5 days from egg to adult, and somes 40 days or more. Female mosquitoes can live 100 days and males may 10 to 20 days.

Mosquito with an anatomy similar to modern species was found in 79-million-year-old Canadian amber from the Cretaceous. An older sister species with more primitive features was found in amber that is 90 to 100 million years old. Two mosquito fossils have been found that show very little morphological change in modern mosquitoes against their counterpart from 46 million years ago.
